THE DEVIL RIDES OUT
Tickets $8 at the door
After launching their debut album to a full house in Perth last month, The Devil Rides Out took it out on the road for a punishing tour schedule that saw them play 3 states and 9 dates on the east coast in just 10 days and leave a trail of rave press reviews for their debut album The Heart & The Crown in its wake. Highlights included playing a live set for Melbourne radio station PBS-FM, rockin' shows in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, and having a member of Tumbleweed show up as one of only ten punters at their Wollongong show and buy an album. Lowlights included almost getting shut down for being "too heavy and too loud" in Lismore, ACTUALLY getting shut down for being "too heavy and too loud" in Maroochydore, and visting the Big Prawn only to find it shut down. Devastating.
Now the boys are back in town and playing a homecoming show tonight at the Rosemount. They'll be showcasing a big set of new material and the new album will be on sale at the door - so if you missed out on the launch, now's your chance to get your fix of brand spankin' live and recorded Devil goodness. Greeting them back to local stages will be blues-infused, totally rockin' welcoming committee of The Love Junkies and Dux & Downtown, featuring Luke from The Floors and Dave from Cal Peck & The Tramps. Also keeping you warm in the beer garden will be RTRFM DJ Shannon Fox spinning righteous tunes all night and, being student night, there are also cheap drinks, free pool and $12 steaks. Giddyup.
