Twelve years in the making, many break ups, fights, arguments and tall stories, Kely Barcia and Gary Cornell have found the band they promised each other all those years ago and this is the result . Teaming up with Scott Armstrong and Ben Blend they have created a sound that shows off their many rock influences. Each song tells of an internal struggle within their minds and amongst the friends around them. Some end with triumph while some are left unresolved. Monkey Empire is for the real person, not for the brainwashed. If you would like to see this crazy band in person then head to their EP launch this Saturday at the Rosemount Hotel.
