Sinead is our new Programming & Communications Manager and she joined Rosemount Hotel full-time this week after managing the marketing and operations of notable venues including Rosemount Hotel, Mojos Bar, Rock Rover, The Moon Cafe and YMCA HQ for the past three years.

Sinead’s had a strong relationship with the Rosie since 2014 starting off as a bartender. She’s also worked with us as a supervisor, door staff, and has played the venue countless times with her band Flossy.

Sinead also runs her own artist management services – BASE MGMT.

Favourite local bands

The bands I manage are my favourites – Priscilla, BEXX and Bad Weather. Others include Didion’s Bible (they remind me of Talking Heads), Sly Withers (the emo teenager in me just can’t get enough), Carla Geneve (her last tune The Right Reasons – omg, so good), and Ghost Care (those pop hooks get stuck in my head for days).

Best show ever at the Rosie

The Drones in 2016 was definitely a stand-out – I’d never seen them live before and they blew me away. Gareth Liddiard is such an incredible performer and Fiona Kitschin has always been a big inspiration for me as a bass player and vocalist.

If you could see anyone perform at the Rosie (past or future)…

I would love to see Angel Olsen at the Rosie; she’s one of my absolute favourite artists. I saw her at Meredith in 2016 and was a weeping mess in the front row but have missed her last couple of Perth shows because I’ve had gigs of my own.

Go-to off the Rosie menu

The Smoked Chicken Salad – it’s so delicious. Warm potatoes, spinach, smoked chicken, dill aioli dressing, and it comes with a few pickled onions on top which are like little bursts of joy between the savoury bites – I’m a sucker for anything that’s pickled.

Go-to beverage at the end of the day

I’m a bit of a white wine witch, so love a dry white like a Sauv Blanc or a dry Riesling. Either that or a tasty gin with soda with lime – the Roku gin is delicious.
